NC head stop punching
This technology utilizes pre-cut sheet and consequently offers greater flexibility than coil material. Punching in the middle of the sheet is also possible. Average productivity is lower than with coil and transfer punching; however, this is compensated for by higher flexibility. Not suitable for sheets with unfavorable length - width ratios.
The punching takes place using stationary or NC-controlled presses, in which an indexing head or special tool has been installed. An economic transfer system is used to transport the cut sheet through the different presses. Coil curvature in the sheet leads to higher product tolerances.
Application. Frequently used for the production of shelves and office furniture.
